FAQ

How do your products differ from other cleaning solutions?

Most bio-based cleaners fail to match the performance of conventional solvents. intelligent
fluids® bridges this gap by offering:

• Solvent-level cleaning power

• Eco-friendly, biodegradable formulations

• Reduced process times and energy consumption

• Non-toxic, non-flammable alternatives

• Low fluid consumption and waste

How do your products compare to traditional solvents?

intelligent fluids® deliver powerful cleaning performance without toxic chemicals. Instead of
chemically dissolving contaminants, they work through a smart physical mechanism that
detaches residues safely and effectively—protecting both people and equipment.

What is the “Microquake” cleaning mechanism and how does it work?

Our technology is based on a smart physical cleaning mechanism rather than chemical
dissolution. By combining entropy (maximum molecular motion) with stability against
Ostwald ripening (agglomeration), we achieve a dynamic balance between hydrophobic and
hydrophilic properties in a thermodynamically stable system in our fluids. A blend of 10 to 15
ingredients produces a “microquake” effect, with up to 8,000 molecular movements per
second. This allows the fluid to penetrate organic layers, break adhesion, and physically
detach contaminants.

What types of contaminants can your solutions remove?

They effectively remove:

• Solder pastes and fluxes

• UV-cured and pressure-sensitive adhesives

• Resins, varnishes, and photoresists

• Oils, greases, inks, and coatings

What types of surfactants, oils, and activators do you use?

We draw from:

• ~48,000 global surfactants

• ~5,000 oils

• ~200 activators

This results in over 144 billion possible combinations, allowing for tailored, self-forming fluids
with microquake performance.

Are your products dilutable?

No. Our products are ready-to-use. Dilution, especially with water, compromises the
performance and stability of the formulation.

What are your main target markets?

Our solutions are applicable across multiple industries, including:

• Microelectronics

• Electronics manufacturing

• Oil & Gas

• Chemical and pharmaceutical sectors

• Metal processing

• Printing and packaging

How do your fluids perform on complex geometries?

Thanks to excellent creeping and surface wetting properties, our fluids clean deep into fine
structures and intricate geometries—ideal for precision components.

Are your products safe for delicate surfaces like semiconductors or coatings?

Yes. Our fluids are non-corrosive and non-etching. Every formulation is compatibility-tested,
with detailed data shared in product datasheets.

What cost-saving benefits do you offer?

Customers benefit through:

• Faster cleaning cycles

• Lower energy usage

• In-situ cleaning (less disassembly)

• Reduced waste and disposal costs

• Extended equipment life

• Safer workplace and simplified compliance

Can you replace hazardous solvents like NMP, acetone, or TMAH?

Yes. Our fluids deliver equal or superior performance, while eliminating health risks and
regulatory concerns linked to traditional solvents.

How are your products applied?

They are versatile and suitable for:

• Immersion cleaning

• Spray applications

• Manual wiping

• Ultrasonic systems

• Inline cleaning systems

Do your products require heating or special equipment?

No special equipment is necessary. Most products are effective at room temperature, but mild
heating (30–40°C) or agitation can enhance performance when needed.

What is the typical cleaning cycle duration?

Contact times vary based on the application but generally range from a few seconds to several
minutes.

Are your fluids reusable?

Yes—depending on the application and contamination level, many fluids can be reused,
offering additional cost and environmental benefits.

Can your fluids be customized for specific applications?

Yes. We specialize in tailoring fluids for specific substrates, contaminants, and process
requirements using our modular formulation platform.

Do you offer technical support or on-site trials?

Yes. We provide technical consulting, pilot testing, and on-site support to ensure successful
integration.

What regions do you ship to?

We ship globally, with distribution partners and sales reps across Europe, the Middle East,
Asia, and the Americas.

Are products sold directly or through distributors?

Both. Depending on the region, we sell directly or through certified distribution partners.

What is the price per liter or kg of fluid?

Prices vary depending on the fluid and application. Exact pricing available upon request.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Most have a shelf life of 12–24 months when stored properly (sealed, away from heat or
freezing conditions).

What packaging sizes are available?

While bulk delivery is preferred, we offer standard packaging including:

• 1.000 L IBCs

• 200 L drums

• 20 L, 10 L, 5 L, and 1 L containers

• Sub-liter sizes (via toll bottlers)
